The Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots will face off in a highly-anticipated NFL showdown on “Sunday Night Football” this weekend from Gillette Stadium.

The Chiefs are one of just two undefeated teams left in the league at 5-0. Kansas City has so far dispatched the Chargers, Steelers, 49ers, Broncos and Jaguars.

In the Jaguars game, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes put up 313 yards and two picks with a rush TD, and Kareem Hunt led the rush on 22 carries for 87 yards and a TD. Travis Kelce was the lead KC receiver on 100 yards from five grabs.

Over on the Patriots’ side, they’re sitting at 3-2 this season. New England has fallen to the Jaguars and Lions this year but otherwise taken out the Texans, Dolphins and Colts.

In the Indy game, Patriots QB Tom Brady posted 341 yards with three TDs and two INTs, while Sony Michael had the only rush yardage with 98 and a score. James White was the leading Pats receiver with 77 yards and a TD off 10 catches.

The Chiefs are 4-0 ATS in the last four road games and 5-0 ATS in their last five overall. KC is also 4-0 ATS in their last four versus the AFC and 6-2 ATS in their last eight in October.

Meanwhile, the Patriots are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 on turf and 20-7 ATS in their last 27 following an ATS win. New England is 35-17-2 ATS in their last 54 versus the AFC and 35-14-2 ATS in their last 51 home games.

With a dynamic team and an entertaining QB in Mahomes, the Chiefs have become darlings of the league and one of the major favorites in the AFC. KC hung 30 points and a whopping four picks on the Jaguars, leaving very little doubt about their prowess this season.

As for the Patriots… well, they’re the Patriots. Always focused, always good, and even when they’re banged up or playing with a bunch of no-name guys they still find ways to win. This game marks the beginning of a run that will tell us a lot about New England’s current state, as they’ll be playing KC, Chicago and the Packers over the next four games.

All things considered, this should be a must-watch game. I expect it to be close and very competitive so I’m staying away realistically. Still, I think the Chiefs have arrived and I’ll take KC for the cover
